Mobile app redesign for the 2nd largest bank in the U.S.
Bank of America challenged my team at Digitas to redesign their mobile banking app. The app had seen a lot of success, but over time it began to feel outdated. After having gone through a recent brand refresh, the timing was perfect. The directive from executive leadership was to make the BofA app not only a best-in-class app for their financial peer group, but also best-in-class amongst all apps generally.
We leveraged our agile design sprint process to work through multiple rounds of ideation, exploration and refinement; and to build trust with the BofA teams (including Product, UX, Engineering, Marketing, and Exec. Leadership). After three rounds all parties were confident in this final design direction, and it was green-light for prototyping and heavy user testing.
